RUN FOR UNITY

Since 2014, India has celebrated Rashtriya Ekta Diwas, or National Unity Day, on October 31 every year to mark the birth anniversary of Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel, known as the Iron Man of India. Rashtriya ekta diwas 2022 marks the 147th birthday of Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel.
National Unity Day was observed at MDVM school by remembering Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel and discussing his contribution to the Indian freedom struggle popularly known as the ‘Iron Man of India.’
A pledge-taking ceremony was organised for the students and staff members to mark the occasion.
On this day of national pride and honour, MDVM Marathon was also organized on the theme RUN FOR UNITY to realize the dream of Ek Bharat, Shreshtha Bharat under the leadership of Principal Dr. Satyveer Singh.
He communicated to the students to appreciate the value of synergic effort rather than individual effort so that students return to society as ambassadors of unity, peace and safety.
The short yet significant programme etched the spirit of “Ekta” amongst all.

Happy National Unity Day

The goal of Sardar Patel’s vision was to bring all citizens of the nation together, regardless of their caste, nationality, gender, or religion. The Iron Man of India is still praised today for his accomplishments as a social leader of the highest kind. We commemorate the great leader’s birthday on October 31
