The Mathematics Department of MDVM PARLE SCHOOL observed Maths Week. An array of activities was held aiming at instilling and developing mathematical, reasoning, and analytical skills among the students. One week of non-stop Maths buzz continued in each class.
The ‘Parle Bazaar ‘ display was put up by the students of Class I to V.
Maths activity on Number Games was put up by Class II students. Beautiful Maths hats, models for measuring weight and capacity, and a presentation of S. Ramanujan’s life was made by the students of classes III and IV. To enhance creativity and analytical skills, the students of class VI to VIII participated in Measuring Cup Competition, Number Race, and Maths Marathon. It was great fun for them. Extremely challenging and brain-tickling activities and a logical quiz were held for classes IX-X. To test students’ knowledge of the subject, Maths Quiz and Aptitude Test were conducted for the senior students.
More than 20 students from classes V to X staged a street play to mark the birth anniversary of the legendary Indian mathematician Srinivasa Ramanujan.
The resounding success of the activities is the outcome of tireless efforts put up by our students, ably guided by the Maths faculty and well supported by the management of the school. The school Principal Dr. Satyaveer Singh appreciated this effort made by the students and the teacher to encourage children to pursue maths by promoting a more positive and inclusive approach.
